Do you tip carpet fitters assuming they do a good job?

I used to do deliveries and removals in another life and always appreciated a tip but I suspect it's not the done thing now.

If they've done a good job and you think it's possible you will use them again I would say a tip would be a sensible payment to give!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tea on the job - max £5 afterwards - for a "breakfast" etc Carpet fitters are notorious for leaving heaps of offcuts and sundry debris lying around. Tidiness is everything - even if they leave you one bag of scrap. Bonus points for them if they advise sweeping, not hoovering your new carpet - for the first weeks...;)

An expert! Fiver it is and they're already on the second cuppa.

Reminds me of the old song, On the Road to Underlay:wacko:

Do you deliver in Worcestershire? Say hello when you do, and I will give you a tip.

Their Madagascan Vanilla ice cream is very excellent.

Is the ice cream from Madegascar or the vanilla?;)
