Btw, a group of us Belles will visit Dumbarton Castle on Sunday, we should get there at around 1.30, 2pm approx as we will be riding at the speed of the slowest.

I forgot to add, I was merely passing by on the way home from the pub to get some nibbles (actually, chocolate. They didn't have any of the big tins of Pringles like they normally do).

I had a p*ncture on the Catrike and was manfully dealing with it when a svelte young female roadie stopped to offer assistance and then chat

Does one's middle age ego wonders

Then she noted that I was using a tyre lever and pointed out that most tyres could be placed by hand

Before I could say "Marathon Plus" she then added:

"But I expect that arthritis may be a problem using your hands at your age"

I am still traumatised by this cruel insensitive deflation of my ego

I hope I didn't scare you off too much, I had been at the pub, I will admit, so I just hope I seemed remotely sensible when discussing your lovely Dawes Cambridge Mixte and showing you this site on my iPad. And yes, I ended up stammering badly, it just seemed to come out of nowhere, I am not usually like that.
