Sat at the lights in the ASL today,3 lanes-left one for turning left(filter on green) lane 2 and 3 for going straight on,guy in lane 3 decides he wants to turn left-ON RED right in front of me just as the lights were about to change too

Coming home tonight-approaching a set of lights, guy overtakes then immediately turns left right across my path, just about managed to brake enough to miss him fortunately, big shout from me 'DI*K made me feel better anyway.

1st incidents for a while, been fairly uneventful lately, lets hope these were the exception.

Two lots of muppets for me....

First one ... standing on a road corner chatting with a mate by a very very narrow side road when we saw a car reversing hit the edge of a car.... she took her time, got out and left a note. After a bit we decided to go and check out the note... "Sorry I hit your bumper" ... no information. Quick check - its both the bumper and the wheel arch area with damage. Since we saw the car leave and then park further up the road - went and got the number plate and added a note of my own!!!

Later on - I was on a cycle path and came to a bit where it crossed a road ... slowed down as a lorry was turning into the road.... except it wasn't ... it turned onto the cycle path. I realised they were doing work on the road entrance so assumed it was going to park next to another half on/off the path/grass verge. But it didn't, as I turned onto the path - it reversed at me ... I yelled ... it carried on ... I ended up whacking the back of the truck to stop it. In the resulting conversation - apparently I'm to blame because I wasn't watching ... the fact he was reversing on the path at me on the cycle path was not the point - I shouldn't have been there. I decided not to argue and left the scene  .

Several muppets for me...

saw a shadow drift in front of me on a poorly lit road as I approached a junction. Another cyclist is lit up by me Race light, and seeing a red thing on the back I presumed it was a light so said "'scuse mate, I think your batteries are dead" only for the guy to turn around and give me such a look like I was about to get whacked. I then realise it wasnt a light. Infact he didnt have any, or reflectors.. I aint got a bleedin clue what the hell it was.

Then later, still dark, a paperboy runs out in the road from between parked cars. In a split second I swerve around him and shout "watch out!!" He managed to stop and lean back. Annoyingly there was a car coming the other way so if he'd have missed me, he'd have possibly been hit by that, and thats gonna hurt.

Then on the way home 2 young school girls also did the very same to me, but in daylight. They both stop in time realising their error, one says sorry and I shout back "careful next time please!"

Summerdays, that van driver sounds like a... infact insert your own word, they'll all do.

Bloke in a silver BMW ('06 reg) ran a red pedestrian crossing then parked about 20yds up the road outside the shop. Lights turned amber and I set off, the bloke's just overtaken me so he knows I was there and he opened his door in front of me

Luckily I had an inkling he was going to pull that stunt so I got out of the door zone, but I'm about 90% sure he never checked his mirrors

Last weeks commuting to work seemed to be plagued by, motorists who must beat the cyclist to a pinch point. As im in a strong position they have to brake and give way!

And then theres those who steam past, brake hard and turn left. I have to say there were some bemused pedestrians wondering what on earth im shouting about.
