This pie is best eaten unadorned with beans, sauce, or other unguents. They swamp the taste of the pie. Chips however.....

Candles break inferior pastry. My shortcrust pastry is sublime.

My nephew (Wooley Edge, Barnsley) considers himself an amateur pie expert, sampling offerings in South and West Yorkshire. I think he would benefit from reading the notes of a professional.
