Been slowly building up the miles on the Carrera TDF, so today was a significant milestone for me. Was determined to get over 20 miles, managed a 23.6 miler in 1 hour 45 minutes, average speed 13.66 mph.
At the moment I'm only getting out on the bike on a Saturday and Sunday, but, with the lighter nights am now planning a midweek ride as well. Logged 94 miles for March.
Next target is to build for a 32 miler down to Fenwick and back.
Very pleased with my progress so far and can't speak highly enough of the TDF, it's a very good bike.
Going back to Halfords tomorrow for the bike's 6 week service and while it's in will be getting the pedals replaced so that I can use cleats.
