Hey all

Am having a problem with my pedals, i am on a road bike with pedals that have the old toe straps on but they are newer.

When i try to climb upwards on a hill or try to put more power into the power i can feel a real strain on the upper half of my foot (from the ball to the toes) and its really uncomfortable to ride up hills with them.

So short of buying some clipless pedals what can i do?

no they are great, i use the flat stiff type cheapish walking shoe with the velcro toe straps and they work really well. comfy and supportive, i can use either side of the pedal for quick get aways so all works well

If you already have some spd shoes & cleats, why not get some spd pedals, for £14 it would save fussing

your welcome

i find walking shoes do well as they are generally stiff soled. They are comfy to walk in and work well with the velcro toe straps. my left foot used to go dead, since i started using these they have been fine
