In that case Nathan, I'd send her round to her friend's house so the tooth fairy can drop off her £1 and photo while she's there.... seems only fair.

£ 1. A few years ago with the eldest we tried 50p to start with and then got queried on why her mates got a pound. For a while we got away with the excuse that because we lived in the countryside the rate was less then her mates who lived in town  .

i love the innocence of childhood, and the belief in father christmas and fairies. I know that I only have a few years left, but I hope she believes for a long as possible.
I still don't know whether my youngest is still a believer!!! And none of the rest of the family can bear to delusion him!!! (he's 11!!!). But it could be he doesn't want to say it in case the money and Christmas stocking stops!

We have enjoyed the years of the fairy and making sure they put it in a pot (after loosing the teeth in the bed and having mad hunts in the dark!) Tooth fairy rates in our house haven't changed over the last 10 years and remains at £1 a tooth.

Thinking about it, it is one of my memories of my childhood, when I lost a tooth at my granny's house. It was put in a glass in the kitchen (not sure why), and later in the evening I discovered a shiny 5p (and in those days they were brand new!!) Shortly after found the tooth on the side - which was explained away quickly by my uncle saying it must have been too heavy to carry.

Its a quid, but the kids have to fill in a form with their email address and phone number so the tooth fairy can flog their details on to a PPI claim back company.

 @the suggestion of chocolate money!! The tooth fairy doesn't bring sweets!!!!
We have a strict rule that tooth fairy money cannot be spent on sweets here. Thank goodness for poundland!
The tooth fairy stopped visiting my eldest son after he spent a 2hour drive pulling his own tooth out so that he could get a quid, he was about 8!

We (I mean the tooth fairy) leaves £1 in my house.
However if the kids visit their grandparents the tooth fairy ;) leaves £2.
And yes they have been caught saving teeth for the next visit to the grandparents!!
