Top class track racing

I spent a pleasant half hour last night watching some grass track cycle racing in Roundhay Park.

I was out walking the dog and just happened across it so I sat down and watched. Great to see some kids giving it some welly and going for broke. Especially one small girl on a 20" wheeled pink bike, her legs were going like the clappers. It was a handicap race and she came about 16 out of a field of maybe 20.

Organised by the splendid Mandy Parker who took it over when the previous organiser had to drop doing it.

Get your kids along there and have fun.

If you can get over to the Richard Dunn Sports Centre on Saturday mornings (10.30-12.30) She also coaches there, along with me, Helen, Keith and soon, I hope, other newly qualified parents.

Skills, fitness and fun - and we also teach the little blighters to ride.
