Looks as if Leipheimer has got the bit between his teeth and is going all out for the GC title again this year. There is still some way to go but with Astana doing well as a team he must have a more than evens chance of pulling it off. Mancebo paid the price of yesterdays winning effort but at least he has one stage win under his belt.

Keith, I hope you managed to see it better than we did on Eurosport! If only somebody would wipe the lens. As for the technical stuff woeful.
Leipheimer put in a great effort and may yet pay the price like Mancebo the day before!

Agree - Eurospost coverage was pretty "shoddy" they showed the awards ceremony twice too.

Conditions looked bad but Astana were looking good. Gonna be a good season for Astana!!!!

Good to see you looking in here sometimes, Groucho. You could be right about Leipheimer but I think with Astana around him he will fair better than Mancebo. It's at least very interesting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Leipheimer has an important advantage that Mancebo did not have, which is that today is not a difficult day compared to yesterday, so attacks are unlikely.

The race coverage is abysmal, and for once it is not Eurosport's fault. Time gaps come up about once every half hour (even in very bad weather taking gaps frequently should be a piece of piss), and there are virtually no graphics that come up indicating how far there is to go. Some terrible choices of which camera they go to as well, even when they have the pictures available.

And wipe those damned lenses.

Makes you realise how good the TDF coverage is. They didn't even provide the split times between the leaders, pousuivants and peloton - can't be that hard with timing chips and GPS.... The commentators had to resort to counting the seconds from signposts/buildings they saw at the side of the road...
