Hi John, Dawn.

I cycled US Route 66 in 2008. I had an ace time & can't stop recommending it!! The people were wonderful (no one pulled a gun on me as most UK people naively think). No problems from cars or trucks. Where I had to use the interstate I used (by law) the hard shoulder, which was a lane to myself (If you do need to use it mind the wire mesh from shredded truck tyres, I pulled a few pieces of wire out from my tyres (Marathon Plus) but still no punctures (Just 1 in 2500 miles from a thorn in LA!))

The people were soooo friendly, go for it, you’ll have no regrets just wonderful memories & words off praise!

There’s a page on my blog dedicated to my 66 tour, http://www.wallisonwheels.com

Mark.
