track cycling in london

hey guys im new here i was wondering if theres any track cycling clubs in london ive done alot of road and mtb cycling with my friends but have never been part of a club after watching the olympics and the british track team i just thought to myself i want to do that well maybe not at olympic level but i really want to start track racing i live in hammersmith (w6) so i club near me would be good but im willing to travel a bit as well

it's great fun, and very physical. i had a go at the manchester velodrome on a club night. the fixed and no brakes part takes time to get used to, as does learning the essential etiquette required.

i did a three lap pursuit race with a clubmate (which i won), and was exhausted after. shame i have no idea how fast i went.

you will also be amazed to find that that wind that always seems to slow you down outside, is created by your own passing.
