Just to say thanks for the advice received last month in regards to nutrition etc.

Just completed the Trans Pennine Trail from Southport to Hornsea, 218 miles and took 26 1/2 hours.
Started Saturday at 7am and arrived at Hornsea on Sunday at 9.30am.
Rode the first 125 miles on my own ( had a mate in a car who I met every 2 hours during the day and every hour at night ) and then rode through the night with a mate for the last 93 miles.
Needless to say the night section was difficult, but as soon as it started to get light again it really improved morale.
Throughout the day and night I ate a combination of small pasties, small bags of plain pasta, bananas, breakfast bars and jelly babies, and also drank plenty of water plus a bottle full of water mixed with berry SiS tablets every few hours.
Felt great throughout, tired limbs and a sore backside by the end, but guess that is to be expected !
Many thanks again for the advice, really helped a lot.

Good going, I've only done Stockport to Liverpool.

What lighting system did you use for the ride at night?
