Just wondered if anyone had any views on the above as I am in the market for a more comfy road bike to hopefully cover a few miles on. Looked at a Cannondale Synapse, Specialized Secteur and a Giant Defy 1 but really like the Domane 2.0 especially with the frame design.

What especially do you like about the frame design?

All the Domane series have a Isospeed decoupler frame (a rubber coupling between the seat tube and rear stays) which is supposed to give a more comfortable ride as it absorbs shocks transmitted through the frame.

Well worth test riding. I tried one alongside a Focus Ergoride (only on a car park test ride). Both bikes felt smoother over the bumps in that limited ride than other bikes I've tried. Don't get too caught up in the tecnology pitch, I'd rate the Domane high but it's design is about marginal gains in endurance races. It is a comfortable bike but so are the others you listed! Get out and test ride a few bikes if you haven't already.

I tried a Domane for this exact reason but went for a Defy in the end as i felt it was a more comfortable ride overall.
