My thinking: Trek is arguably the better bike, possibly lighter, will ride beautifully, looks great. The Colnago is a fantastic machine. will do all you could ever want in a road bike..
Here's the clincher though, in 5 years time the Trek will just be another carbon road bike, bland, anonymous, invisible. The Colnago, however, will still be a thing of beauty. There's a reason Colnagos are collectible.
