I'm quite taken with this bike and it's currently in first place to replace my Sirrus.

Does anyone have one? Has anyone ridden one? Any experience or general opinions on the bike would be appreciated.

Have just taken delivery of my 2.0 Domane and its great. Also have a Sirrus but have kept it as it's always worth while having 2 bikes!

its a great bike i think a bike at that price is better spec'd than its rival anddddd it can take proper mudgaurds

I'd go for the green 2.3

Just not the black 2.1

IIRC the Madone is the sporty @rse in air model, the Domanes are the more relaxed (remembering that the Sirrus is more like the relaxed Secteur than racy Allez)

Depends what you want from a roadbike

Now you're just confusing me  Hmmmm...

By the way, the Madone 2.1 comes in a red version too

The Madone is the racier one, the Domane more the sportive style (like Allez & Secteur from Specialized, or Synapse and CAAD from Cannondale)

Are you looking for speed, or more comfort over longer distances

Sorry, I meant you were confusing me with more choice - I understood what you were saying!

I've been looking at a Trek Domane 2.0 as I am after a more comfortable bike for covering distances (hopefully) in comfort and not so bothered about speed being old.

I've got one - in the black/white livery (per my avatar) and I'm happy with it. I pondered the Domane - which as mentioned previously has a slightly more relaxed fit and with it's isospeed technology is still a quick bike but meant for longer distance/comfort riding whereas the Madone is supposed to be 'racier' if that makes sense. I ended-up going for the Madone in the end as I just preferred it over the Domane - but my budget was £1000 (due to C2W) so I was limited to Madone 2.1 vs the Domane 2.0 - and at that price (combined with the fact I'd have to wait 3 months longer) I went with the Madone.

Not quite sure about the previous comment about it being able to take 'proper' mudguards. The clearances are pretty small and the best I could ever get away with was running Crudracer Mk2's on it last winter but even then the clearance between the rear wheel and frame was so narrow that it wouldn't take the chainguard part of the rear mudguard.

Let me know if you've got any other questions.
