Hey

I'm having troubles shifting my front derailler.

I have Microshift twist-grip selecter, with 3 chainrings. The trouble is the twist-grip is now very difficult to turn, so that shifting from the small chainring to middle is very, very difficult and turning the twist-grip any further (ie to the big chainset) is actually impossible. The cable is very tight, but if I pull at it by hand, the front derailler does move across fully.

My question is, is this likely to be a problem with the mechanism of the twist-grip shifter, or is it something to do with the cable (too tight?), and if so is it easily fixed?

Thanks

Not to sure?
Could be that the cable has seized, that's quite a common problem.

High/low screws on mech need adjusting? Doubt it to be honest!

It may seem like a daft question, but I am "assuming" that you are doing this while peddling and moving and not standing still?

Thanks for reply

No, its not the high/low screws, i adjusted them

And yep, whilst moving, although its as hard to adjust while stationary

In what way do you mean the cable seized? Within the shifter?
