Hi Everyone - Newbie to this site.. so be gentle lol
I have just started to ride my MTB regularly with the other half and the other day had my first run in with our lovely weather... e.g the rain ;)
I have to wear specs at all times cause im as blind as a badger, so of cause when it rained i could have done with some wiper blades. I cant afford to get a newer helmet with the peak on it - so wondered what everyone else does ?? I was thinking my best option would be to get hold of a gortex hat or something similar to wear underneath until i can afford a new helmet.
Any advise would be great.

Thanks in advance CB

You will find that a Goretex cap will cost as much as a new cheaper end helmet.

Daily disposable contact lenses? It'll be a lot easier to look behind you too. I've got specs but I won't wear them on the commute through London - the side arms (thick in my case) limit seeing things out of the corner of your eye, and it's a good old twist around to see behind through the lenses properly.

i ride faster to dry it out..
if that doesn't work, then it's real fun when you go over a pot hole.

In honesty, it's best to get a cap and put it under your helmet if it's bothering you.
