I finally managed to see a physio last week for an assessment regarding the continuing knee trouble I'm having from my collision in July.

She thinks the knee is full of fluid, and now she's pointed it out I can see that it's significantly fatter than the other knee!

She's prescribed some exercises and also recomended 3 - 4 episodes of 15 minutes elevation per day, to drain it. , followed by application of a tubigrip to slow down the fluid draining back into the knee.

Trouble is, I'm very well endowed in the thigh department! They're like lovely soft downy pillows.
My tubigrip just rolls down to my knee joint, where it takes on a tourniquet style appearance and cuts my blood supply off. I've got the biggest size my local boots have to offer!

Not sure if I'm looking for advice, CycleChatters, or just over sharing. Either way, there it is!

What about trying a wide, crepe bandage?
As long as you don't apply it too tight, it should be fine and do the same job.
I am also endowed with russian shot putter-esque thighs

Do I need to get the spray plaster out?

But is it the size required? "G" appears to be one for Large Thigh...

I have dreadful trouble with the stuff when I have to wear it on my foot periodically it just rolls all over the place and is a pain

I can only second the poster up there... perhaps get your suspender belt out... or get those delightful stockings that go all the way up they make you wear in hospital when you have things done

Support stockings, I had to wear the shorter (below the knee) versions after they put the bloody big steel bar intermedullary nail in to repair my broken femur.

TED stockings, uncomfortable things! I've had below the knee and above the knee versions. You need them properly measured and fitted by someone who knows what they are doing (i.e. a nurse)
