Turbo Trainer & Bike spare wheel?

Well got the Turbo Trainer last Xmas and was going to put the mountain bike on it. Not a good idea with the noise.

Finally got the bike 11th Months later. Feel bad taking it all to the garage but it's be banned from the living room.

Is it worth getting a wheel/tyre for the turbo trainer?

From my experience no, just get on and ride it with the wheel/tyre combo you have.

they make special hard wearing tyres for turbos which are much harder wearing I believe

I have a spare wheel with special tyre and a cassette on so I can just swap over But regular wheel is OK too
