MrsP bought me a 20 minute spa session for my birthday, to have my feet nibbled by small Gurra fish. Has anyone else experienced this? I will report back later today.

Yes, but in a natural setting on the Island of Rhodes in Greece.
Was staying at a village on the Island called Lindos.
In one of the small bays they have these small fish which like to have a nibble at your toes.

Filthy fish, eating all your toe-cheese.

Quite. Most US states have seen fit to ban these pedicures:

The issue: cosmetology regulations generally mandate that tools need to be discarded or sanitized after each use. But epidermis-eating fish are too expensive to throw away. "And there's no way to sanitize them unless you bake them for 20 minutes at 350 degrees," says Lynda Elliott, an official with the New Hampshire Board of Barbering, Cosmetology and Esthetics.

I've always wondered if they have shifts or staff rotation for the fish?
Imagine if the salon/spa or whatever is fully booked; surely these little fellas must get full after a bit?

Maybe they just nibble & spit rather than eat?

Perhaps give the on-site catering a miss then.... ;)

Hold on.

There was one at my son's school fete, I stuck my hand in - it was a bit like pins and needles.

Unfortunately there were lots of people around, otherwise I might have tried dipping my knob in the tank.

Barnet,
well, I can thoroughly recommend it. it tickled a bit at the start as the hungry buggers went to work, then as they worked their way through the cheese it turned into a bit like pins and needles. Very relaxing and quite pleasurable. I had a 25 minute session and my feet are now quite soft.

I had one in Whiteleys, Queensway one weekend just after Christmas, a present from my Daughter. I would recommend it, nice to be pampered. The poor little fish had a feast with all my corns and hard skin. I was a size 12 before, and now I am a size 11.

There's one opened up a few miles away from me, in bishop Auckland. It's gross, I wouldn't do it. I know a girl who goes regularly. Bleurgh. All those germs. Not much of a life for the fish either.
