Hi to you all out there. After 48yrs+ I have decided to go Fixed Wheel again (or at least give it ago again!!
It is amazing how it was second nature the minute the wheels turned but Oh Boy have I lost the power that I had.
My years of Campangnolo & Shimano have softened my brute power and the ability for turning big'ish gear inches on fixed.
In my younger (late teens) I could quite happily shove a 108inch all over Merseyside and into the hilly bits of Lancashire & Cheshire and even out onto the hills around Clwyd.
My recent move into Northumberland should see a return of Calf & Thigh power.
