Itching to get out on the bike after the harsh snow and frost and just my luck sheets of black ice everywhere looks like I'm gonna have to wait. Anyone else struggling to get out and about??

Just seen the weather report on the news.
Most of the country will be much warmer tomorrow.
So don't despair:thumbsup: ...

Fingers crossed then feels like ages since I've put some miles in. Also a quick question whilst we're here where can I get just the cleats for Shimano PD-R540 SPD-SL Road Cycling Pedals, recently been given some but no cleats.

It's a frustrating time of year. I'm looking forward to getting out on a regular basis.
It's still early in the year though. Just have to be patient I suppose.
Still waiting for an ankle injury to heal.
It's the waiting that gets yer!

Yes. It's been tough waiting on the roads to clear up a bit. Finally got a quick hour this morning. Roads still had loads of deep puddles and grit and a bit of a gusty breeze but just glad to have finally got out. Just used the old dependable Dawes. Running out of bike storage space but I would be loathe to ever get rid of this bike. It has been so solid and dependable and is actually not that much slower than my good bikes. Was glad of the mudguards this morning. Even with them on, still got my feet a bit damp going through some of the puddles.

Strangely enough I have also been struggling to get out, but in my case it's just too hot! Don't know which is worse.

After knackering my hybrid at the weekend I am using our lasses Dawes, a proper granny shopping bike, for commuting this week. I am a tad slower than normal, but blimey it is a lovely bike to ride.
