Hi

Just interested to know if the tyres that came with the bike are rated good or bad

The brochure says they are

Specialized All Condition Sport, 700x23c, wire bead, 60TPI, w/ Flak Jacket protection

I've never owned a road bike before so have nothing to compare them too

No direct experience but have heard others say they're okay. I believe they upgraded the tyres relative to the 'mondos' that came on my 2010 Allez (they were totally useless and were soon upgraded to Specialized Armadillos).

P.s. keep them pumped up to the recommended max.

The tyres are fine. No need to change them until they are worn out. As Willo quite rightly said, keep them pumped to the max. Check for and remove any foreign bodies stuck in the tyre after every ride and they should last a good while.

If you don't want to see a puncture ever again, I think the general consensus around here is to get Schwalbe Marathon Plus!
