Yeah yeah I know it's been asked many times before but bear with me.

I need 4 tyres for sticking on some bikes I'm leaving abroad.

Because of the terrain and the complete lack of bike shops/internet they need to be hard wearing and puncture proof.

Now, I would normally go for Bontrager Race Lite 23mm. I normally pay about £15 each for them but I'm struggling to see them under £20 a pop. So, £80 in total.

Question - anything else worth considering that would get me near the £60 mark?

Schwalbe marathon?

Otherwise there are vittoria rubino although I don't really rate them much as puncture proof tyres.

That's Good. You can get Lithion 2's for similar, but they are not as hard wearing. They do ride nice.... and I've commuted on them alot.

Keep tyres out of sunlight if abroad....

Shame as they must have sold out of 23s then as I got 4 a couple of weeks ago

Do you have clearance issues @400bhp , if not I wouldn't rule out 25mm, roll as well as 23mm and are slightly more comfortable; a lot of pro teams are using them now.

Yeah was thinking just go with 25's. No mudguards so no clearance issues.

Just a bit of a mind block to get past. I know pro teams use them but that's as much to do with the wheels being used too.

So I think I will get them unless someone posts an alternative before tonight.
