Ultraviolet digital copies...good or cr*p?

Here's my experience thus far:
The Hobbit - failed to work and had to get rid of 'Flixster' (rubbish).
Star Trek: Into Darkness - worked, but will only play on my desktop PC. Cannot transfer to other devices.
Dr Who 50th special - failed to download numerous times, when it eventually did,none of my media players will open it although VLC has a go and then crashes.

Just bought Gravity 3D. Worth downloading the digital copy or not?.

I have the ultraviolet copies of Premium Rush, Bourne Legacy and Batman Rises on my Nexus 7 for when I'm on long journeys, it passes the time. I guess you need to pick films you'll watch again and again.

I use flixter without any issues on my phone and Nexus
