No doubt there'll be a surge of posts from me with videos.. until the excitement wears off..:biggrin:

This one is a short vid which shows exactly why you shouldn't undertake.

Nuff said.

Please feel free to criticise me and my riding too, shark skin is pretty thick stuff.

Bus driver shouldn't have been there (again). The standard of driving of some of these professional drivers is extremely poor.

I would have probably positioned myself to the right of the bus, so I could see what was going on. And maybe overtake if safe.

I'm not criticising though

Knowing the road, specifically that there's a road off to the right which people take to avoid the queue (it leads to a parallel road), helped me make the decision not to undertake.... it *looked* like he was simply slowing for traffic and/or the cyclist ahead... but the Spidey Sense said not to go.

I've seen people undertake in similar situation though... makes me cringe!!

A vehicle did slow and turn right - that explains why the bus moved to the left and into the advisory cycle lane (even though a cyclist was using it).

Sh4rky - you are naughty......another Mags but from Manc land.....

That bus was a classic - no stop in sight, but there was a car going right - you quite often get this with cars, but at least you can see the obstruction first.

That was just short of where you had your last bump wasn't it sharky? Near to the arch?
It's a nasty road in general and I stopped using it to get from Stretford - took Royce rd instead.

I knew why he'd done it (after the fact) as I saw the car turning... but I've no idea whether he actually checked his mirror before doing it... he didn't seem to slow down an awful lot before throwing it over into the cycle lane.

As I said in the vid - it *could* have been nasty!!

Lol - my *last* bump? Cheeky!

I've only been knocked off once, but that was near Trafford Bar station in Stretford... it was Tharg who was knocked off near here, up on the bridge.

buses have a bad habit of opening their doors and letting passengers off, out in the middle of the road sometimes, said passengers never bother looking

so undertaking buses is something I do with care
