Undoing Windows Xp logon request

Foolishly, when reinstalling Xp on my daughter's machine (she's the only user of it) I entered a username during installation so that each time Windows starts, she gets the 'click your username' screen (not the one where you have to type your username and password - the one where you just have to click an icon to go to your desktop) instead of Windows just opening straight onto her desktop from boot up.

Any easy way to undo this?

Start Settings User Accounts and then choose the option 'Change the way users log on or off' and then untick/tick 'Use the Welcome screen' option depending on what it's currently set to.

that should sort it for you.

selectthe username & uncheck the users must enter a password box.

BTW - if you hibernate and get a log-on request after that then go to :

Control Panel - Power Options - Advanced - and uncheck the "Log-On after Hibernation" box.

They are infuriating aren't they - you "update" the Windows Net.Framework and you get these annoying little add-ons that you don't want.
