Campag on my geared bikes (except the one with Shimano deep drop brakes.)
Shimano on my hackbike.
SPD pedals throughout the fleet (even on the Colnago and the Wilier).

Unwritten rule §237: Many cyclists let fashion, and unwritten rules, make their decisions for them rather than picking the best tools for the job.
