Upgrades

I'm looking at upgrading my disc brakes & drive train but undecided on components.

I'm currently running 9speed Double Sora 50/34 32-11 as standard with the bike & promax 160 disc brakes. I don't use gears 1 & 2 so can drop lower than 28t as lowest gear.

Don't really have a price range (live at home, what ever I earn is for me) use the bike for commuting & long rides at weekend but also have a single speed for winter commuting.

Any recommendations for upgrades?

HG50 9-speed (12-27) is a useful range cassette, pretty light and can be had for around £11 - a bargain.
The HG80 (11-28) is even lighter - but at around double the price. I've used both with Sora and a 50/34 chainset, no problems.

Can't offer any advice on the brakes, I'm afraid.

Wise words from Eddy there, but I think he probably changed his gearing from time-to-time
