Upgrading front mech????

hi all
my bike has shimano tiagra groupset and i have been given a 105 front mech.i have been told that i will feel a difference but is it really worth doing?????

It's an easy job and if you got it for free, then why not?

But no, you won't notice a difference: the front mech doesn't have a lot to do and you're only moving up one groupset, it might be a few grammes lighter but that's about it.
