Upright freezers.......do you have a system as to what goes where ?

My freezer has 4 drawers. I used to have a system but things are muxed up a bit now.
To my knowledge (I might be wrong) the top drawer is to actually freeze things eg when I batch cook i will have 4 portions to freeze.
The bottom drawer is were I keep dessert stuff eg ice cream or mixed fruit. I also can fit 4 ready meals eg Aldi chilled curries.
But as i say, things have got a bit muxed up.
What, if any, is your system ?

We have 2, and they were both organized but quickly went to pot. top drawer is shallower so usually ice cube tray goes there. and often pizzas. I find those ziplock bags are good space savers for batch cooking, and they thaw quicker

Bread etc in top, meats and meals in second, opened veg / chips bags etc in the bottom and the third unopener veg/chips plus ice cream

We have two; they are similarly organised: chaos in the bottom drawer, chaos in the middle drawer, chaos in the top drawer, and that stupid shallow tray at the top is welded into an arctic ice cap.

We do keep a list of the contents on the fridge; better known as the Fiction section.

Update: Gluts from the allotment are one reason for the chaos. The other reason is the kids never update the list.

Batch cooked stuff in the top along with the half loaf of bread, half a tin of beans, peas, etc.
Second drawer is veg; frozen chips, roast pots, broccoli, green beans, cauliflower, parsnips.
Bottom drawer is meat.

No system, but if I freeze fresh uncooked meat or fish, it has a dedicated bottom drawer in one of my freezers, in case of fluid spillages.

One for ready / leftover meals
One for savoury
One for deserts / ice cream etc.

Top shelf - stuff to be frozen - or recently done

2nd shelf - gluten free stuff that I can eat

3rd shelf - veg and chips

4th shelf - other chicken and fish and stuff - often things I can;t eat - so for my wife and the grand kids

botton shelf - ice cream and frozen fruit

Top drawer - deli, bacon, cheese
2nd drawer - fish
3rd drawer - small meat items, prepared fruit
4th drawer - joints

That's the theory anyway. There's a bit of chaos in there too, as sometimes I just got to shove stuff in where there's space.

Bottom: boxes, & unopened bags
Middle: bags
Top: bread & tubs with batch cooked stuff
Shallow tray: for freezing down bits of quiche, mince, lemon juice, ginger etc etc.
