USB2 ??

How do I know if my laptop (Compaq Pressario CQ61) has USB2?

In Device Manager amongst the list of USB whatsits there are two entries, "Intel(R) ICH9 Family USB2 Enhanced Host Controller 293A" the second entry is identical apart from 293C at the end of the sentence.

Does this mean that my USB ports are USB2. I only have three ports and one of those has the wireless mouse dongle in it. Really, how do I know if I do actually have USB2. I cannot find the information on the Compaq/HP site, although I expect it there somewhere. As I am sure is clear I am not computer technical so answers in words of one syllable would be appreciated lol

Thanks a lot gents. The reason I asked was carrying on from my other thread about VHS to DVD recording. We bought a Roxio kit and it just wouldn't work at all. I was wondering if it's requirement for USB2 was to blame if I didn't have it, but obviously it was just faulty. I took it back to Maplin this morning and got a full refund so no real harm done. I am now looking at the Dazzle units which seem highly recommended amongst those who know about these things, but really wanted to make sure my lappy was up to the job before flashing the wife's plastic.
