Used Sirrus Sport vs New Escape 3

Saw a 2011 Specialized Sirrus Sport with Carbon forks going for £200.
Rutland Cycles currently have a sale on the Giant Escape 3 for the same price.

All I'm going to use the bike for is a 30min daily commute.
What should I get?

The Escape has a better finish and it's screws, bolts and nuts don't turn to cheese. The Sirrus is a better, by far, looking bike, but the lacquer drops off the frame, paint falls off the wheels and its screws, bolts & nuts do turn to cheese. It's tough, I didn't like my Escape and the Sirrus (I had 2) drove me crackers but the 2011 model had the zertz fork inserts and I was very impressed with them.

Hmm, if it is mint and white, I'd buy the Sirrus.

Thanks for your opinions guys.
I don't like the idea of the bike falling apart Mark and I owned a Giant bike as a kid which was great.
I'll make sure I do a thorough inspection on the Sirrus.
I did see Specialized as a step up in quality though... Tough decision.
