Sad for him, but at least he has the diagnosis before anything terrible happened.

i wonder if, come the end of the season, we will look back on this as the moment that ultimately decided Le Tour

Why do you say that?

Because there is a tiny chance that in 6months time I can refer to this post and look like I know something about pro cycling

More seriously, he puts in a huge amount of work in the front during a grand tour, not just during the boring bits but also when the team comes under pressure . This year I think Jumbo visma will come into the tour de France and put Ineos under huge pressure as often as possible . If Ineos as a team are not at 100% they will have problems and part of being 100% will be having a proper replacement for VK.

The obvious answer is Rohan Dennis who obviously is physically equipped but mentally can he, would he want to do that kind of job?

Having said all that Ineis will probably fill two of the three podium places again.

There not short of anyone....except a classics rider and maybe a sprinter.... Although I'm not convinced there that bothered for either for that matter.

proved they are not bothered about a sprinter when cav joined sky :okay:
Viviani ? The thing to remember about Sky/Ineos is it's allways going.to be about the tours with France being the ultimate prize.
If.your a sprinter you better be prepared for bottle duty.

It's hard to take Velon particularly seriously as they're trying to challenge the UCI's dominance in an attempt to make professional cycling into more of a circus show than it already is.
