It does look rather expensive when you comeare to something like this - £3.99 for 5.

You can do a similar thing with a ski strap (aka Voile?) but you might need a way of tucking the end away. Many years ago, I (and I'm sure loads of other people too), used to use toe straps to secure items, such as an inner tube, to the saddle rails.

To an extent, not only have ski straps replaced bungees for my use, but also toe straps. I use the Sea to Summit straps - not that I'm recommending them over other brands.

Lefty tighty. Get it righty.
I would not trust stuff to stay put if just velcroed to the frame like that. Ok maybe something squishy like an inner tube might but anything odd shaped and hard (like the co2 cylinder in the picture) would soon squirm out.

I was thinking the same thing - I was looking at the OP linked item to see if there was an elastic section to provide tension (thinking that at least that might contribute to the high price).

I use one on a bike for a pump....keeps it secure in its holder and stops it rattling. Not sure id use one as shown on the image though.

A friend of mine had a pump that was kind of crescent shaped in cross section. It mated nicely up to the frame and was held in place by velcro with no need for a holder. A very nice looking solution. Unfortunately it was rubbish at pumping up tyres. But it did look nice.
