Im weighing up the pros and cons of going for a Centaur groupset rather than a Veloce. I have used Veloce before and have had no complaints. Do you think the extra cost is jutified? Its going on a Pinarello sestriere so im concerned that the weight saved through getting the Centaur would be hardly noticeable on a steel frame. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Carbon chainsets are the major weight saving elements of the Athena and Centaur groupsets....otherwise I'd say it isn't worth the extra.

If you can afford it - go for it!!
The weight saving may not be a major factor but the fact that you are riding the best equipment you can afford makes the whole experience so much more satisfying
