Very Low Step-Through Bike for Elderly Lady

Does anyone have any ideas?

We recently had a couple in their late 80s come into store looking for bikes as they can no longer manage to step over their old bikes - which are nice old JF Wilson & MB Dronfield models from amateur racing days.

The gent was OK with a normal step-through, but his wife has beat cancer, refusing a lower-leg amputation and has regained the use of her leg but not enough to step over a "normal" step-through frame

I was initially looking at the Viking Step-Easy as an affordable, low step-through bike

Unfortunately it's not a model that is continued for 2016, and none of our other brands do anything like, at an affordable pensioner price point

Has anyone any ideas of any other suitable models? It would be nice if I could at least help her out by pointing her in the right direction

Any brace between seat and down tube needs to be below the chainrings - so a normal step-through is out

Decathlon do/did an Elops model that looks fairly low...just a couple of inches higher than the Viking. The one below is currently on offer at £140.

Maybe you could do a deal with the retailer.
