This has been donated to Enviroability, the charity I spanner for two days a week. I know it's nothing special - Vindec was a high volume manufacturer of catalogue bikes - but I rather like it. And I love that speedometer, which still works!

Indeed. All but worthless, but not without a certain nostalgic charm.

Removed and cleaned up a working Huret speedo is likely worth far more than the bike to the right colleftor.

Would i be right they look like citybike tyres and not racing tyres? My mum fed me well , so i sat on a racer thin if you like and the tyres too which didnt like me! Although the citybike tyres are on my other bikes are okey dokey . Id be tempted by that one pity the price and i dont think postman pat although would be kind im thinking lol.

Speedos were a novelty on bicycles, and when a youngster got hold of one they were inevitably obligated to do everything possible break the previous days record by any possible means. Talk in school that Nobby from the rough estate managed 45 MPH on his Tomahawk would leave us in hushed awe.
