Have a trawl through Youtube and there is even worse, much much worse...

Oh yes. Football Manager on the ZX Spectrum. Must have been '83 or '84. Me and my best friend spent the entire summer holiday playing that rubbish. The entire holiday. Every day. One day my mum insisted that we go outside, so we unrolled an extension cable and took the computer into the garden.

Football manager on the sinclair zx 81 was better than the spectrum -no shitty graphics just a teleprinter type flash as something happened- it was very tense. However, if you expanded the 1KB memory to 16kb using the expansion ram pack you had the pleasure of waiting for 20 minutes for it to load (usually unsuccessfully) and if you did achieve success you got to play for 5 minutes before the thing crashed due to the fact that the expansion pack came adrift. Happy but futile hours spent.

Old enough to know better, too old to care!
I played Match Day on the Spectrum 48K for months. I well remember the crap sound and retina searing graphics. Later I graduated to the Spectrum 128K. The sound on that version was better but the graphics were just as bad.

I agree, Sensible Soccer was the best Footy game ever.
On the PC maybe, but none of them were a patch on Subbuteo.

I'm not quite sure why I bothered with this...

If anyone can find worse, I'd love to see it
