One more reason to be fed up of this fiasco. The only good thing about the games is that I'll be in the Lake District when they're on.

And a free marketeer such as yourself has a problem with that?

No but giving 97% of the card-owning punters access to their money for free is hardly a fiasco to be fed up with. It does of course deny money to the 3% with non-Visa cards, the 30% who don't have a card at all and those who want to be charged for taking their money out. But then the first two will probably not be there anyway as they couldn't buy tickets without a Visa card. So I'm not going to lose sleep over it.

theres 2 VISA ATMs at the media centre alone. not sure whats in the Lloyds TSB bank there as haven't pid much atention to the fit out .

of course you need more proof than a torygraph article as it could just be a journo making it up. but don't sound like you might be geting riled or you will get accused of all sorts by people who don't have a feckin clue

I don't know the ones in question, but most UK ATMs including the Lloyds TSB ones are connected to Cirrus/Maestro/Mastercard as well as the Visa system (plus a lot of smaller ones)
