So after the visit to see the W.A.A. we made our way to Bangor in order to have an early night and be bright eyed and bushy tailed for the start of the ride.
Rocket thought a couple of pints might be an ideal way to end the evening and he was joined by the Rev. and Grinder. Fairweather and I thought better and settled for the early night instead.
So the next day dawned and we steeled ourselves for the challenge ahead. Some more relaxed then others as it happened.
The long drag up the Ogwen valley began in earnest. Fairweather leading the "charge".
It wasn't very long before we were heading into Bethesda with the mountains getting closer alarmingly quickly!
We were out of Bethesda quickly and those mountains did appear.
If you look closely at the next photo you will see an astounding bit of wall building going up the side of the mountain!
The view back down the valley
And what was ahead of us.
We cycled around the lake before heading off towards Capel Curig.
