I like that.

I removed Docky (because I already use Cairo Dock and didn't want to go through the process of setting up Docky for all my apps etc) but have retained everything else. Don't know how long I'll stay with it but it is rather good, as you say.

Why would I want my Ubuntu to look like a Mac? I like my Ubuntu very much, very happy with it. If I had wanted a Mac I would have brought one.

I have no idea why you might want it. My point is merely that if you did you can.

(and I'd rather eat worms than buy anything Apple)

I've used Macs and to me a Mac is a Mac and Ubuntu is Ubuntu. As you say, this is for people who want to change things round according to taste, but for me I like Ubuntu to look like Ubuntu!

I like playing and trying out stuff. Computers are a toy for me and I use my Netbook as a test bed. If stuff works and I like it then I install it on my desktop.

So, speaking personally, I welcome Greg's post.
