Hi. To go with a road frame hybrid that has disc brake fittings, I am looking to buy a pair of forks. The 1 1/8th steerer doesn't need to be very long - 180mm or more should do it.
My first choice would be steel forks. Or possibly carbon. Probably not aluminium, as by most accounts alu forks tend to have a comparably harsh feel.
