anybody have an old usb cable they dont want to connect a Garmin gps to a pc to downlown gpx files to the gps? They have one of those small plastic 'cylinders' in the middle of the cable.

I lost mine...so if you are throwing yours out..throw it my way??

will pay postage.

Which Garmin model? I don't know if they all use the same connector. The old RS232 models certainly didn't.
 
According to this discussion, you shouldn't need a special Garmin cable. (But obviously you will have to us a cable that fits off something else, for example from a phone.)


True for data transfer.

In some models you do however need different cables.

There are some cables with the data pins disconnected that charge only. If you use a normal cable then the unit it goes into computer as opposed to charge mode.

is that the normal cable which can be used for the edge series? i have a few spares

original garmin for my edge 200/500 if thats compatible with yours price of postage?
