Anybody used these before? they are without doubt a cracking idea, i just have this vision of keeping some linked to the bars on my bike and as i ride past some derelict land i fling a few over the fence then ride past each day and watch them grow!

do love the idea. anybody into guerilla gardening?

Cool indeed.

Here in York we have a group who've planted up some municipal beds (with permission) with veg, on a help yourself basis - I suddenly noticed the other day that there's one on my route home...

What an inventive idea. Love the name of their online shop too - Kabloom.

Get a few backpacks full and we could cycle through town centres doing rose-raids ...

Last time I bought a tub of butter I found what looked like a chocolate-chip cookie taped to it.
Result!!, thought I.
Further investigation revealed this was actually a disk of compressed peat, with herb seeds in.
Could have been worse, I could have dunked it.
But (getting to the point at last) they'd be ideal for ride-by planting.

I now have baby basil plants in a yoghurt tub on my windowsill
