Ive got to waterproof my tent, trailer bag,and Torneau cover amongst other smaller items. What does everybody reccomend ? Ive seen a product that you wash the items in, sounds good but does it work, or should I use a brush on or aerosol ?

None of that stuff really works well, I am afraid.

Not sure which wash in product you mean but make sure you are not confusing Nikwax Tech Wash with a waterproofer. As it suggests, it is for cleaning not proofing although it does claim to restore original proofing. It is good at it's job and is worth using before any other re proofer you might use. No proofer will do a work well on a dirty surface.

I would recommend either Nikwax or Fabsil for proofing and paint on rather than spray on. Spray is very wasteful and expensive. There are different products for man made or natural fabrics.

Since you have the tonneau to do as well I think your best bet might be a large tin of Fabsil Liquid. It would do them all and they do a high strength "gold" version.

Both companies do informative leaflets that you should find at any decent camping shop.
