WAY IN TO EDINBURGH

Looking to pass thru edinburgh coming from glasgow,dont want to use route 75 or the sustrans route as i will be coming along the the A8 straighest and quickest route for me, now i know the A8 is very busy but i looking to come off it as near as edinburgh as possible then make my way to forth bridge and over to fife. any advice welcome.

At Newbridge, before you hit the airport, you should turn left, head through Kirkliston and then over to South Queensferry.

This is the route:

however, if I was coming from Glasgow, with the intention of heading to Fife, i'd take this route:

http://www.bikely.com/maps/bike-path/Glasgow-to-FRB

it means you don't have to go anywhere near Glasgow.
