Mapmyride peeved me off ages ago with its damndable adverts, US emphasis and sloooooo response

Image Shack has just joined 'I can do without you' club because it refuses to actually delete or upload anything now

news.bbc.co.uk They use GeoIP and have me tagged as sitting in the USA because my employers route traffic through our American office. Which means I can't see anything without more ads than you would believe, and I can't watch any video at all.

I do and I have and there aren't and it is but that's kinda not the point. I'm about 15 miles from the middle of London, I don't think that I should need an adblocker to read the Beeb.

I agree about mapmyride, it's close to the point of unusable, I could walk the route quicker than it maps it!

The beeb can be painfully slow sometimes and I have adblock, flashblock and noscript. I can see beeb pages referencing all manner of other servers for this that and the other.

I also find wiggle slow sometimes

I generally find that many web pages have technology overload on them, slowing them down incredibly. French pages seem particularly guilty of this. Orange's page (for instance) has so much singing dancing whizzoness that you just give up trying to find info!

Ye Gods, wiggle is toe-curlingly slow always. I'm sure they must lose business because of it.

The Guardian website is usually pretty loopy as well, but then so is the journalism, especially The Moonbat.

My AVG security package has taken a dislike to Yahoo front page for some reason

If I'm quick I can get mail to open before it goes moody.

mapmyride is now pants... I put a dozen or so rides on there some time ago, now I only go there so I can get the files, put them on google maps, then see them on my google phone ;)

why not use bikehike instead. its 10x better quicker, no ads and you have altitude and climbing as well.

My vote is for bikeradar what a load of rubbish their webpages are . It takes 20 seconds to change or refresh every page and over 10 seconds to close the site down.
Task manager processes show 100% CPU usage when I have the BR tab open and idle. bluddy croadolap:angry:
