Tired, shoot sleep after finding out an old mate (not seen in ages) died in a RTA on his motorbike, was looking at getting a decent bike but as he used to race at the IOM TT, etc, maybe not.

Chilled walk with hounds, another day of teams meetings then hopefully meeting a pal for a run

Sad to hear that.

71 very hot miles ridden, now trying to keep cool and wondering what tomorrow will be like as Mrs W has bought a puppy apparently. Which we go collect tomorrow.

So WFH this afternoon entails:
  • getting home before 2pm
  • plugging in laptop and starting it at 2.05pm
  • sending 2 emails before fans go and I have 5 Adobe Updates to do
  • at same time Windows notifies me of Updates and requires a restart.
  • thought, OK lets do the updates.
  • do Adobe first. These are big downloads and I'm only on 70mbps
  • do Windows updates.
  • these require a restart.
  • do a restart that triggers another update.
  • this update requires a restart.
  • the restart requires a restart.
And here we are at 3.24pm and all I've managed is 2 emails and writing sh!t on some forum or other.

Bah!

Kids returning to school means that we return to the mountains.
30c in Glen Coe this afternoon. Slightly less at the top of Buachaille Etive Beag. The tourists were out in force but thankfully didn't see any crocs or flipflops at the summit.

Bad news @TLW1, thoughts to the family.

Been treetopping in 35 degrees today as well as trying to sort out some lifted tiles on the drive. In 35 degree heat… currently sweating out a glass or three of Valpolicella.
