....at 20.6 kilos and mrs rich p at 14.5k. I've just loaded the bike and off to the ferry at 9.30.
a bit less than BTFB but I carry the tent, mrs rich p's sleeping bag and thermarest and 2 camping stools(my luxury!).

I'm glad it's not just me that takes a camping stool occasionally! It got me a mention in C+ magazine back when they had a forum.

re stools, in my case it's a tripod fishing stool with alloy tubes (not steel, they're heavy man) nd just strap it on top of a pannier or saddle bag. At the end of the day, it's a lot more comfortable than a rock

Have also got the thermarest seat but not used it yet.
